Journal - General Spiel
This part of the journal contains entries relating to computers in some manner or fashion, though not entries of a technical nature (they go in the technical section). Things like notes on small site tweaks can be found here and maybe the odd link or two.
Amended RSS pulls 22nd Jan 2006
Was doing a bit of research earlier on mirror neurons (after a pub conversation last night) and stumbled upon pbs Nova scienceNow and their web feeds.
As you might know, science dot com went subscription recently, so I have opted to replace the RSS pull in the world news -> main stories from that to Nova.
I can strongly reccommend viewing or listening to some of their stories.
Corrected Typo (and then some) 12th Jan 2006
Following a message from someone who actually took the time to read the lone tutorial in the scriptix section, I finally got round to spelling "ternary" correctly.
Also fixed a typo on an online CV so that the contact telephone number actually relates to my phone. Hope I didn't miss any contracts during the few days when the number was wrong.
Site was unavailable for a day or two 10th Jun 2004
Ummm, yeah.
No prizes for guessing who forgot to pay his hosting fees - Ooops.
Anyway, the good ol' hosting company managed to get the site back online within a couple of hours after I updated my account details.
Does remind me that I really should add a few more little scriptlets to this place before too many cobwebs appear. On the agenda so to speak.
work 1st Apr 2004
Am still busy at work in case you hadn't guessed.
So many things to sort out and so little time to do it.
more content here and there 6th Aug 2003
While I've been mentally running up the structure for the DataGraphs class suite I found a few moments to add some textual content to a few more pages. The email page now has a working form and the world news section has some filler text that isn't lorem ipsum.
As regards the datagraphs, I think a standardized class that does the background, legend and anti-aliasing could then access class extensions for the specific graph output. Will start work on that soon.
